My name is Jessica Leo, I am the CCO and a therapist at Monarch Counseling Center. I received my bachelor's degree at Montclair State University. After being in the business field for several years, I realized something was missing and I wasn't feeling fulfilled. I made the decision to return to school, attending the University of Pheonix and obtaining my Masters in Psychology. I decided to enter the field of addiction, partially for personal reasons, but also to work with each client in their efforts to learn what life can become in recovery and learn how to be the best person they can.
I have been in the field for 8 years working in different levels of care; detox, residential, and halfway house. I have my Master's in Psychology, LCADC, my CCS (certified clinical supervisor), and am EMDR trained. Over the past 8 years I have learned to enjoy the complexities of people struggling with addiction and mental health, helping them achieve a sense of peace and stability.
I believe in providing help, validating experiences and assisting in finding solutions. I provide a safe professional space for my clients to share their story, finding a therapeutic approach that will be the best fit.
