My name is Alexia Totoro , and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a Certified Clinical Supervisor with over a decade of experience in the mental and behavioral health sectors. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work with specialized training in addiction counseling (ACT), alongside a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Rutgers University.
My professional background encompasses a broad spectrum of therapeutic settings, including medication-assisted treatment, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, inpatient care, and in-home services for children and youth. I have extensive experience in individual counseling, primarily working with children, adolescents, and adults to address issues such as depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, and spirituality.
My clinical approach is characterized by warmth, authenticity, and a nonjudgmental, person-centered, and goal-oriented perspective. I am committed to addressing the immediate concerns of my clients, understanding their priorities, and collaboratively advancing towards their wellness goals.
